MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - MIDLANDS AREA, KWAZULU-NATAL

POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a trade tested and experienced MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN for a large concern – position based in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.

REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12.

Relevant qualification/s. Trade Tested Electrician / Fitter ESSENTIAL!

Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).

5+yrs working in a similar position within the dairy or FMCG industry.

Experience with the following is required: - filling machinery, pneumatics, electrical machines, PLC’s, mechanical machinery, experience in the food and beverage industry.

Attending to breakdowns of equipment, including, but not limited to, fillers, processing equipment, labellers, sleevers, shrink-wrap machines, etc.

Problem-solving to address equipment breakdowns.

Close off any corrective actions that may have been raised.

Adhere to planned maintenance schedules for filling and other equipment to reduce unplanned breakdowns.

Person must be prepared to work shifts / overtime, public holidays and weekends when required.
