Job Description

This HR Administrator position for a Manufacturing company reports to the General Manager and is a challenging role with lots of scope & opportunity to show your abilities & make a difference.

This is a unique opportunity to join fast growing company. You will be the point of contact between the company and employees for all employee related queries. The HRA needs to ensure that data relating to all personnel activities are accurately recorded. The role ensures that HR data is properly maintained thereby ensuring labour law and SMETA/URSA compliance as well as minimizing risk and loss for the company.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and perform recruitment functions
  • Coordinate and complete appointments of permanent, fixed term and casual employees
  • Conduct Induction and On-boarding on HR practices and ensure departmental induction takes place
  • Manage attendance reporting and shifts (ERS system)
  • Capture and report on overtime and leave administration
  • Payroll Administration (New engagements, increases, movements, terminations, etc)
  • Create and update organograms and tracking of employee movements
  • Manage key task administration which include performance assessments
  • Manage administration of documentation relating to injuries on duty
  • Monitoring and co-ordinating employment equity activities
  • Manage and coordinate internal, cross-functional and external training
  • Coordinate union activities
  • Administration of corrective action and grievance documentation
  • Succession Planning monitoring and controlling
  • Disciplinary Hearing process support (charges, documentation, evidence pack preparation, track and control)
  • Manage employee exit process (exit interview, Alexander Forbes)
  • Compile HR reports
  • Ensure labour law compliance
  • HR, SMETA & DoL Audit compliance
  • Covid-19 implementation, track, control and reporting of incidents
Qualifications
  • Minimum Diploma in Human Resource Management
Skills

You will have at least 3 years'' experience in Human Resource Management within a Manufacturing and Production environment and have:

  • Sound knowledge of labour laws (BCEA,EEA,SDA,LRA)
  • Strong Administration Skills
  • Good coordination skills
  • Recruitment skills
  • Training skills
  • Dealing with union matters
  • Conflict management skills
