Job Description

This Marketing Consultant role reporting to the Sales Manager is a challenging and exciting role, giving you the opportunity to show your abilities and attributes.

You will be responsible for developing and growth of the industrial portfolio in selling process raw materials or ingredients .

Your Responsibilities:

• General Sales & Marketing Duties
• General Customer Service Duties
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
• Grow current business with existing customers
• Obtain and develop new customers
• Accurate reporting and compilation of market information
• Competently calculate cost and sales prices for products
• Develop annual sales budget (in conjunction with Sales Manager)
• Provide technical support during lab-scale tests and production trials

Qualifications

• Formal training in food science, technology and/or chemical field
• Any formal sales & marketing related skills

Skills

You will have at least 3 years'' external sales &  marketing experience for food and chemical industry and have:

• Skilled market research, new customer canvassing and servicing of existing customers experience
• Proven sales excellence – achieving and/or excelling monthly and annual budgets / targets
• Specialized in technical sales of technical products for food and chemical industry
• Bilingual – English & Afrikaans (German would be advantageous)
