Maintenance Handyman

SUMMARY:
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and general upkeep of the building

POSITION INFO:

Duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
• Responsible for general maintenance functions such as general repair works, minor electrical repairs, painting, attend to leaks and blocked drains, hanging of pictures, performing of general plumbing duties.
• Responsible to ensure floors are in good condition and ensuring that ablution facilities are in working conditions on a daily basis.
• Responsible for undertaking of carpentry duties such as repair and replacement of door locks.
• Emergency lighting and power supply in case of power failures - to be checked and tested regularly.
• Responsible for ensuring proper lighting in the building by replacing all light and ballasts which are not in a working order.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with the safety guidelines and standards.
• Inspection of interior and exterior of building and parking areas on a daily basis and ensuring adherence to Occupation Health and Safety standards in daily operations
• Developing and implementing preventative maintenance plans
• Maintain all relevant maintenance inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
• Maintenance and monthly checking of the generators.
• Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
