JOB DESCRIPTION:

Leading and well-established manufacturer of clay products for the construction industry seeks to employ a Maintenance Manager at their plant near Atlantis.

For the position you would be required to have:

Trade tested Millwright
Minimum of N3
Minimum of 4 years' maintenance supervisory/ management experience in a production/ manufacturing environment
Ability to handle pressure and heavy industrial working environment
Ability to manage a team of Artisans and other resources
Experience with crushers, conveyors, extruders

Responsibilities would include you to:

Maintain and improve plant to achieve maximum availability
Efficient breakdown management
Manage resources (staff, budget, tools) efficiently, including training and performance management
Proactive maintenance to ensure minimum unplanned downtime
Manage stock and spare parts
Oversee external contractors
Maintain a safe and healthy environment
Maintenance of plant ensuring high productivity, low maintenance costs, maximum lifespan and timeous replacement and achieving at least 95% plant availability
Manage maintenance projects
