Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:
New vacancy is available for a Maintenance Technician for our client in the Automotive Industry based in Kariega.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

1. Repair and maintenance of faulty equipment and parts
2. Troubleshooting robotic communication faults and electronic issues
3. Optimisation and fault finding of equipment such as sealers, welders, and laser systems
4. Analysis and resolution of PLC program errors and network issues
5. Setup and programming of SEW drives and diagnostic software
6. Investigation and prevention of production stoppages and breakdowns
7. Maintenance of robot Safety circuits and data backups
8. Documentation and knowledge management of maintenance activities

1. National Diploma, B Tech, B Eng, or B Sc degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
2. At least 5 years of experience in vehicle manufacturing maintenance and/or industrial technical environment
3. Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities
4. Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and standby roster
5. Proficiency in E-Plan Electrical and Pneumatic drawings
6. German language proficiency advantageous
7. Siemens PLC and robot training advantageous
