We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and results-driven Management Accountant to join our client’s finance team, based in the vibrant Waterfront area of Cape Town. Our client, a leading player in the FMCG sector, is looking for a skilled individual with a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and sales performance reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of market trends, variance analysis, and the ability to provide insightful commentary to support strategic decision-making.
 
Duties:

• Analyse sales performance, identify market trends, and generate reports that offer valuable insights to the business.
• Provide detailed commentary and explanations on monthly and quarterly budgets, highlighting variances and offering solutions for corrective actions.
• Conduct in-depth variance analysis on sales and other financial metrics and prepare reports on trends to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external reporting standards.
• Recommend and implement process improvements within the finance function to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.

• BCom degree
• Professional Qualification: CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification is highly preferred.

• A minimum of 4-5 years’ working experience within a similar role, ideally within the FMCG or related industries.
