Management Accountant (Financial Modeling & Analytics Specialist) - 3 MONTH CONTRACT

SUMMARY:
An exciting THREE MONTH CONTRACT role exists for a Financial Modeling & Analytics Specialist

Located in Cape Town CBD close to the foreshore. The company is an international Private Investment firm with entities spread across the globe. You will be working with international teams.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex subscription-based financial models, including deferred revenue calculations and recognition schedules for the company's licensed platform
• Develop and maintain automated management reporting packs , ensuring accuracy and consistency across all reports
• Create and manage group consolidation processes, incorporating multiple entity structures and intercompany transactions
• Build scalable automation solutions for recurring financial processes using advanced Excel and Power Platform tools
• Implement robust data validation and error-checking mechanisms in all models and reports
• Collaborate with finance teams across different entities to understand reporting requirements and implement standardized solutions

Technical Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, dynamic arrays, and financial modeling best practices
• Expert knowledge of Power Platform suite:
  • Power Query for data transformation and connection management
  • Power Pivot for data modeling and DAX calculations
• Strong VBA programming skills for automation and custom solution development
• Experience with financial database systems and data integration

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 3 years of experience in financial modeling and analysis
• Proven experience with subscription-based revenue models and deferred revenue calculations preferrably
• Strong understanding of consolidation principles and intercompany transactions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in complex datasets
