Management Accountant (ICT / IT Industry)

SUMMARY:
Immediately available role: Management Accountant / Accountant (ICT / IT Industry - Cape Town office based - foreshore). 
A well established and extremely successful international private investment firm with Head Quarters in Berlin and California and offices in several countries around the world is looking for a Management Accountant  / Financial Accountant to work with clients and teams both locally and internationally. Part of shared services, the finance teams support several entities within this exciting and innovative group.

Location: Cape Town - Office Based - Foreshore. Hours 09h00 - 17h30 (to align with European office hours).

POSITION INFO:
Super exciting position for a Management Accountant / Accountant who has experience within the Technology industry. 
You would be responsible for:

• Management Accounts Preparation: Prepare accurate, timely, and relevant management accounts for review by the Financial Controller, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Reconciliations and Journals: Perform key balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, journal postings, monthly accruals, and provisions.
• Data Accuracy: Ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness of incoming data, addressing discrepancies.
• Shared Services Collaboration: Work closely with the shared services team to maintain accurate transactional records aligned with group control guidelines.
• Asset Accounting: Handle general ledger asset accounting functions.
• Business and Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct business analysis on specified areas and produce ad-hoc management reports as needed.
• Year-End Process: Participate in the year-end process, including cut-offs, ledger balancing, account confirmations, asset reporting, and variance reporting.
• Additional Duties: Support the Financial Controller in achieving departmental objectives and perform other ad-hoc tasks.

• Tertiary qualification – Financial Management or Management Accounting Degree;
• CIMA Qualification (Ideal);
• Solid accounting experience in a busy, progressive, and tightly managed business;
• Must have experience within an IT / Telco company
• Previous experience in handling international accounting preferably in a shared services environment;
• Financial – the ability to prepare financial statements from source data;
• Solid experience in Management Accounting 
• Experience with Group consolidated Financial Statements;
• Solid experience in the development of budgets and forecasting
