POSITION INFO:

Position Overview:
The Marine Technician will assume full responsibility and accountability for diagnosing faults, performing repairs, replacing parts, and conducting routine services on Yamaha and other marine products.

Job Description:

• Perform general maintenance servicing tasks with the highest level of quality and efficiency.
• Utilize approved techniques obtained from training.
• Comply with all pre-set manual requirements for any vehicle/engine.
• Ensure honest and ethical workmanship to retain customers.
• Efficiently solve problems using techniques acquired from training and processes of elimination.
• Undertake related tasks as required, including but not limited to:
  • Providing support to the Technical Manager by offering advice to customers.
  • Maintaining the general upkeep of the workshop yard and workstations.
  • Assisting in the showroom.
  • Offering technical support at key events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Computer literacy.

Preferred Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in a motor dealership.

Minimum Experience:

• 1 year of relevant experience.

Competencies:

• Proficiency in operating computer diagnostics.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to act as a brand ambassador.
• Strong customer service ethic, both internally and externally.
