R25 000 – R30 000 Per Month Negotiable on Qualification and Experience
Our client, a reputable and established Recycling and Waste Management concern is seeking an experienced Marketing Co-ordinator to support the Marketing and Brand Management function of the business.
You are driven by purpose, passionate about the environment and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. One would describe you as having have high attention to detail, strong learning agility and an excellent grasp of the English language (both verbal and written).
You come with solid consumer marketing experience, the ability to communicate effectively across platforms as well as the ability to multi-task and juggle priorities!
Main Purpose of the Role:
The coordinator will report into the Marketing Manager and will ensure that the marketing plan is carried out effectively, driving key areas such as social media, digital marketing, campaign roll-out and consumer engagement. Ensure that campaigns reach all audiences and comfortable communicating across demographics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing
- Social media community management
- Digital marketing management
Marketing & PR:
- Coordinate the timely delivery of the communications strategy, working with internal and external stakeholders where applicable
- Develop a social media strategy for each of the business brands and be responsible for the implementation and management of the strategy (includes content creation, social media accounts management and community management).
Social Media Community and Digital Marketing Management:
- Create engaging content highlighting the Company’s activities (including collating news stories and images) for marketing materials, social media, websites and PR.
- Coordinate the updating of websites.
- Coordinate the creation of marketing materials.
- Coordinate external agency communications.
- Coordinate freelancers, including designers, photographers, etc.
- Organise and coordinate launches and other events.
- Create emailers in MailChimp and SendGrid.
- Create company presentations.
- Order and maintain the inventory of marketing collateral and promotional material.
Administration:
- Database management - build, manage and maintain the business’s contact database and ensure compliance with POPIA.
- Manage the image banks for the business’s brands.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings.
- Deliver monthly reports on marketing activity and performance.
General:
- Maintain excellent communication and relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, and management.
- Work with suppliers and internal team to improve systems.
- Manage budget, track expenses and optimise cost.
- Other various ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Communications /Brand Building /Marketing degree or equivalent experience
- Certification in Project Management would be advantageous
- 3-5 Years proven and relevant marketing co-ordination/administration experience gained
- Experience in media presence, social media, events coordination and brand management internally
- Relevant experience gained within the sustainability and waste management/recycling or plastic manufacturing and / or related industry will be highly advantageous!
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. at an Intermediate level.)
- Experience in Social Media management and monitoring.
- Experience in Website management and maintenance.
- Experience with Design programmes (Photoshop and InDesign) with Basic design skills are advantageous
- Experience in creating company and brand presentations including project/campaign coordination.
- Must be open to travelling locally for a small period of time.
- Drivers licence and own vehicle
