About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation & Management: Assist in developing and scheduling content for social media, blogs, newsletters, and other digital platforms.
• Campaign Support: Collaborate with the team to plan, execute, and analyze marketing campaigns that drive audience engagement and brand awareness.
• Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and audience insights to inform strategies.
• Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital campaigns using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and other platforms.
• Event Support: Assist in organizing and promoting events, such as product launches, screenings, and networking opportunities and Brand events.
• Administrative Tasks: Support the marketing team with daily administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and maintaining project timelines.

Requirements:

• South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34
• Must not have participated on the YES Programme before
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
• Skills:
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools like Canva, Google Analytics, or Mailchimp is a plus.
• Creativity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
