SUMMARY:

Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative

The President launched the initiative in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labor department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Marketing and Communication Intern

Stipend: R5500.00

Location: Bryanston

POSITION INFO:

About the role

Develop and implement communication strategies to showcase the impact. Utilize public relations skills to amplify the message of sustainability and green initiatives. Support in writing and editing press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials. Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and media outlets.

Responsibilities

Assist with special projects as needed Conduct research and identify media outlets interested in clean energy, social enterprise, and Artipreneurship.
Draft press releases, social media content, and website copy that promote the Artipreneur program and its success stories
Assist in planning and executing events that raise awareness about sustainable development and empower Artipreneurs.
Monitor media mentions and online conversations to track public perception and engagement with the program.

Requirements

Qualification in Marketing.
South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.
Must not have taken part in the YES Program before.
Highly organized, resourceful, and able to take initiative.
