High profile, private, educational institution is looking for a well seasoned Marketing and Fundraising Manager to grow the exising presitgious brand and fundraising portfolio.
Objectives:
• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders – old pupils, parents and donors
• Raise funds for the 2024 Project – capital developments and bursaries and scholarships
• Grow the Old Pupils network worldwide
• Focus on the upcoming Jubilee celebrations
Responsibilities:
• Manage the DevMan database of alumni data and donations
• Establish communication with Old Scholars
• Collect and report on Old Scholars’ news, activities and achievements
• All administration relating to donor stewardship
• Develop and implement strategic fundraising campaigns and projects for various levels of giving
• Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective donors
• Writing funding proposals for potential donors
• Manage fundraising projects
• Source branded memorabilia and manage sales
• Organise events and maintain a calendar of events and initiatives
• Communicate with stakeholders in a professional manner
• Drive the Jubilee Celebrations Committee
Key Criteria for success:
After six months, the Development and Fundraising Officer will have:
• the DevMan database fully operational and have grown the records of alumni
• a sound understanding of the ethos of the insitution
• built good relationships with alumni and stakeholders
• Developed a framework for the Jubilee Celebrations
• Developed a strategic, innovative and proactive fundraising campaign
Requirements:
• A tertiary qualification with at least five years working experience
• Experience in business administration
• Previous fundraising experience, especially in the education environment
• Experience of managing events
• Strategic planning mind
• Strong administration skills and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications and a relational database
• Ability to write professional proposals and reports
• Ability to work individually as well as collaboratively as part of a team
• Confident with a professional manner
• Discretion and confidentiality
• Positive outlook and a good sense of humour
Hours of work: Normal 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, but would be flexible to accommodate evening and weekend events.
