Overview
Beverage company with a footprint throughout Southern Africa, looking to expand their operations requires the expertise of a seasoned Master Distiller.

Minimum Requirements:
3 or more years’ experience as a Master Distiller or
5 or more years’ experience as an Assistant Distiller ready to take the next step in their career
Degree specific to distilling, chemistry, biology, food science or microbiology preferred
Demonstrated experience in managing staff
Ability to liaise with customers, suppliers, stakeholders and the media

Duties and Responsibilities:
Management ofproduction staff
Oversee every aspect of production including the sourcing of raw materials, malting, fermentation, distillation, maturation, blending and bottling
Develop new products
Longer Term Liquid Planning
Maintain process logs
Develop a stock management plan
Work with the scientific team to refine all production and ageing processes
Liaise with customers, the media, other distilleries and wholesalers to promote the distillery and its products
Develop new styles of spirits
Plan staff training and development
Ensure that hygiene and food safety standards are maintained
