Material Coordinator Boilermaker

LOCATION:                      BOSKOP - Potchefstroom

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To compile all Bill of material and ensure delivery thereof, oversees store inventory and project equipment and materials.

POSITION INFO:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing the Manufacturing supply and delivery of project materials.
• Finalizing agreements with suppliers and compiling orders.
• Processing Bill of materials and ensuring departments receive necessary goods.
• Maintaining positive engagements with vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiating contracts and managing delivery schedules.
• Prioritizing cost-efficient goods.
• Overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials.
• Managing inventory and ensuring accurate records.
• Collaborate with different departments to ensure the smooth flow of all materials
• Work together with manufacturing team to plan all deliveries, handle delays and guarantee compliance with all material requests.
• Waste management.
• Stock taking.
• Attend design reviews for material identification.

• Grade 12
• Qualified Boilermaker with Trade Certificate.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in coordinating material in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in an explosive environment will be advantageous.
• Good communication, planning and organizing skills..
• Highly organized, punctual and self-motivated.
• An in-depth understanding and working knowledge of the manufacturing/fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience in planning and implementation of work activities.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with multiple disciplines both internally and externally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
