POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirement

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Min of 4 – 7 years post-qualification experience in the automotive industry (lifts, body handling equipment, conveyors etc.) essential.
• Proficient in the use of Autodesk Inventor/ Solidworks.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations.
• Ability to read and fully understand engineering plans and details.
• Excellent technical understanding of engineering principles.
• Working knowledge of ISO Standards.

• 3D modelling using Autodesk Inventor.
• 2D drafting using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using Autodesk Inventor.
• Preparation and review of technical documentation including proposals, statements of works (SoW), and specifications.
• Production of bills of materials (BoMs).
• Providing technical support for the manufacturing team.
• Preparing technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.
• Liaison with suppliers and manufacturing team.
• Leading and participating in internal and external design review meetings.
• Work collaboratively with design engineers and project managers.
• Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.
• Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets.
