Mechanical Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Introduction

Well established Manufacturing company based in the Helderberg region has an opportunity available for a dynamic Mechanical Engineer. The company designs and manufactures all of their products internally which offers the ideal candidate great exposure to the whole mechanical design and manufacturing process.

Duties & Responsibilities

Technical design and drawing of all new and/or existing projects/concepts

Conduct simulation process tests in order to determine and verify prototypes

Manage and be fully involved in the Manufacturing process

Must be a hands-on person who is able to work autonomously and under pressure, as well as show initiative and take charge

You will run the business as if it is your own

Must have strong Project Management/Manufacturing Management experience

Good team player who can work well with others and effectively lead a team

Proficient in SolidWorks, Fusion 360 and Inventor

Must be able and willing to do welding etc. and get your hands dirty

Must have a valid South African license

Preferably have a background in the mining industry.
