Oversee and coordinate the maintenance and repair of fixed plant equipment, ensuring top-notch safety standards and maximum equipment effectiveness.

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Foreman to oversee and coordinate the maintenance and repair of fixed plant equipment, ensuring top-notch safety standards and maximum equipment effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance of fixed plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Lead and develop your team, ensuring high standards of preventative maintenance and effective breakdown management.
• Manage planned maintenance systems, including legal compliance as a 2.9.2 appointee.
• Oversee projects, ensure equipment inspections, and collaborate with engineering specialists to improve maintenance strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, convening regular safety meetings and conducting risk assessments.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Trade Test Certificate in Fitting, Turning, Boilermaking, or Millwright.
• Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in Shaft, Conveyance, and Infrastructure maintenance.
• Proven experience with equipment such as winders, conveyors, pumps, crushers, and shaft bottoms.
• Strong communication, team leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.
