Medical Receptionist – Paediatrics - Bryanston

SUMMARY:
A paediatric practice requires the above to manage and ensure the smooth operation of their practice by providing administrative support to the healthcare team, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for parents and children within their clinic.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements for the role:

•  A minimum matric is essential for this role.
• Previous experience having worked as a medical or healthcare or related Receptionist role within a paediatric environment is preferred for the role.  
• Previous experience working on medical software is essential.
• Must have Microsoft Office suite experience and be computer literate.
• The successful candidate must have the ability to manage multiple tasks, interact with families and children with care and empathy, and ensure efficient office management.

•  Managing and ensuring the smooth operation of their practice by providing administrative support to the healthcare team, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for parents and children within their clinic.
• Welcoming patients to the practice and scheduling appointments and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including personal information, medical history, and treatment plans.
• Manage patient billing and payments, including co-payments, deductibles, and medical insurance verifications.
• Process invoices and receipts, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records for the practice's financial reporting.
• Assist with submitting claims to medical aid companies and follow up on pending claims.
• Liaise with Paediatricians and other medical staff regarding patient needs and information.
• Maintaining practice inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies.
• Performing general administration and personal assistant tasks.
• Maintaining collaborative relationships with patients.
