SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist for a permanent vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape

JOB DESCRIPTION:


Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
 
  • Grade 12 with proven work experience as a receptionist, medical industry experience preferred
  • Strong admin skills, and hands on experience with office equipment
  • Good verbal and written skills, punctual and reliable
  • Professional attitude and appearance and able to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Office and good social skills
  • Experience with Medical aids advantageous
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Effective running of all front desk activities
  • Greet and welcome patients and explanation of procedures to patients
  • Ensure patient folders are kept updated
  • Following safety procedures and controlling access via reception
  • Updating calendars and schedule meetings and appointments
  • General admin duties such as filing, copying, typing, faxing
  • Should the individual show interest and promise – supportive on site teaching through learning experiences and the possibility to advance in a specialized field. The candidate would then also be trained to operate technical medical equipment and machinery
 
Salary: R9 000.00 – R13 000.00 per month dependant on experience
