SUMMARY:
Our client requires your minimum 4 years experience in merchandising working within a pressurised environment dealing with apparel and footwear.

The successful person needs to think on their feet and understand the critical path. Excellent communication and liaison skills. Lovely position to build strong relationships with Clients and be able to problem solve well when required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

REQUIREMENTS

Matric, relevant qualification.
Proven working experience in merchandising with Clothing, shoes, lingerie or accessories.
Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
Up to date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong listening, presentation and decision-making skills
Commercial acumen and the ability to “decode” customers
Own vehicle and driver’s license essential

DUTIES

Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers’ expectations and company’s objectives
Manage and adhere to timelines.
Inputting of data on the Clients system.
Managing sample schedules and delivery schedules.
Managing the purchase orders.
Analyse market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock
Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, distributors and analysts for pricing, stock and time expectations.
Ongoing communication and liaison. with Factories in China, Pakistan and India.
Maximise customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately
Forecasting
Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs etc
Build constructive customer relationships and team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
Remain up to date with industry’s best practices
Continual follow up with clients from beginning to end of the process following the time frames and understand the urgency of requirements.
Organising of ticketing
Deal with changes that occur, get involved in problem solving and sorting out extension requests.

Salary: R18k negotiable dependent on experience
