Metrologist

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Automotive industry in the South of Johannesburg, specializing in metal pressings and CNC machining, is looking for a Metrologist to join them

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Qualified Metrologist
• 5+ Years' proven experience as a Metrologist in a manufacturing environment with specific experience in Metal Pressings and CNC Machining (Pre-requisite)
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles
• Strong knowledge of metrology principles, measurement techniques and inspection methodologies
• Experience operating metrology equipment such as CMM's, Optical Comparators and Height Gauges
• Familiar with automotive quality standards and requirements (ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP) preferred
• Proficiency in software applications (CAD/CAM) and metrology software packages.
