SUMMARY:
Metrologist
Operation: Rosslyn
Reporting to: Quality Manager
Job Purpose:
Ensure all Metrology related tasks are carried out according to specifications and customer requirements on shift pattern.
Dimensional measurements of parts and checking fixtures.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Main Responsibilities:

Dimensional Measurements of parts from Moulding, Paint and Assembly.
Dimensional Measurements, R&R Studies & verification of checking fixtures.
Dimensional Capability studies as part of investigations, assist with investigations not meeting requirements.
Calibration of all measuring equipment and instruments.
Conduct & Prepare Audit/PPAP/ISIR documentation according to customer as per schedule.
Measuring programs development for new and existing products to customer requirements.
Retrieve, analyse, interpret, validate, and record measurement results and data in line with part and assembly specifications.
Act when non-conforming materials, components or assemblies have been identified
Communicate with relevant and specific information through various channels to meet customer requirements and specifications.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

Matric & Relevant Trade/Quality qualification.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Metrology (3D Scanning - Polyworks) in the Automotive industry
Data driven and analytical.
Able to problem solve and apply GD&T principles.
Interpreted SPC data and identify process capability.
