Millwright

SUMMARY:
We require an experienced and qualified Millwright. Previous manufacturing or food services industry experience required.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

1. Grade 12
2. Trade Tested
3. Completed Apprenticeship
4. At least 2 years industrial (factory) experience
5. At least 3 years Millwright experience in an industrial setting
6. Food and Beverage industry experience beneficial and preferred
7. Strong understanding of mechanical systems
8. PLC experience
9. Welding and fabrication experience

• Installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
• Install and assemble new machinery and equipment according to specifications and blueprints
• Ensure all manufacturing processes works at optimum level
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Do fault finding on equipment with and without PLC monitoring tools
• Ensure high operating efficiency
• Lubricate machinery and ensure all moving parts operate efficiently.
• Identify and resolve issues with mechanical systems and equipment
• Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to determine root cause of malfunction
• Perform precise alignment and calibration of machinery components to ensure optimal performance
• Use alignment tools such as laser alignment equipment, dial indicators and micrometres.
• Modify and fabricate parts as needed using machine tools.
• Weld, cut and shape metal components to meet specific requirements
• Maintain high occupational safety standards. (Zero IOD’s)
• Maintain a clean work environment and ensure peak condition of all tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations related to machinery and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and installations.
• Report any issues or concerns to supervisors or relevant department managers.
• Ensure all aspects of processes, operations and production meet specified regulations
