JOB DESCRIPTION:

Short Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to install, inspect, adjust and repair equipment while following safety rules and regulations.
You will be required to maintain all equipment to the required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failures.

Responsibilities:

Machine Maintenance
- Must be able to read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Must be able to install stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Must be able to inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities.
- Must be able to adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
- Oversee machine tools to fabricate parts during repairs, modifications, and installations.
- Assist with the sharpening and maintenance of machine tools as and when necessary.
- Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensuring devices function correctly on completion of repairs, modifications, and installations.
- Must adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances in the department.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Innovation and Assistance
- Assist with implementing a Preventative Maintenance Program on all equipment.
- Must perform other related duties as and when required by Management.
Reporting
- Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documents for the department.

Key Competencies:

Education and Experience

Qualified Millwright Trade Certificate
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
Strong electrical and electronic knowledge would be an advantage
You will need to work overtime and be on standby
You will need to check in on the plant on weekends
You may be required to work shifts going forward

Technical Abilities

Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment
Experience in ARC, TIG, and MIG welding is essential
Experience using Industrial Computer Control Systems
Must be able to read technical and mechanical drawing
