JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client has an opportunity available for a Millwright based in Fochville.

Requirements:

Completed millwright trade test.
N4 technical qualification.
3 years demonstrated working experience in the position of Millwright is required.
2 years demonstrated working experience in a manufacturing plant.
A Red Seal certificate would be advantageous.
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Working knowledge equipment safety standards.
Experience using PLC’s.
Physical ability to lift heavy items safely.
Knowledge of conveyor belts, centrifugal pumps, orbit pumps, boilers, compressors, generators, and other equipment in an industrial environment.
Proven commitment to Safety, Health, and Environmental Standards.

Responsibilities:

Install electrical and mechanical equipment according to plant maintenance schedules.
Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
Ensure that operating safety devices function properly upon the completion of repairs, modifications, and installations.
Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
