SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available!! Our well known client in the FMCG Sector is looking to employ a Millwright to join their dynamic team in Queenstown.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of the job:

To lead preventative management initiatives, ensuring machine uptime and quality metrics are met; diagnosing root cause of failures and closing the maintenance cycle by implementing or updating preventative maintenance strategy.
To maintain a highly automated plant at set efficiency targets, delivering the required products, at the stipulated quality standards at the right time.
To conduct preventative and reactive maintenance in the plant as required.

Key Performance Areas:

Machine availability (Machine Efficiency)
Preventative maintenance schedule adherence
Root cause analysis and maintenance cycle improvements
Coaching operational staff to ensure autonomous maintenance carried out correctly
Housekeeping and Health, Safety, Quality, Hygiene
Autonomous Maintenance Measurement Education,

Experience and competencies required:

Qualified Artisan (Electrical and Mechanical) plus minimum N4 qualification
Trade Test, Diploma (NQF 6+)
Must be in possession of a Code 08 (B) driver's licence
Minimum 5 years' experience in FMCG environment
Competence on PLCs (S7)
Recognised Trade Test
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, speed drives, fillers and labellers
PET Plant maintenance experience (good understanding of preforms, blow moulding, electronic fillers, high speed wrap around labels, packer and palletisers) Equipment knowledge on PET injectors, and Krones packaging equipment advantageous
Process knowledge in syrup make-up and service equipment advantageous
Packaging experience in CSD as well as Conveyors, labellers, shrink wrappers, palletisers, syrup rooms, blenders, blow moulders
