SUMMARY:
Millwright Technician (Food & Beverage)

POSITION INFO:

A well known food manufacturing company based in JHB East is looking for a dynamic Millwright Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain all equipment to required standards and respond to production needs and equipment failures.
Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly
Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations.
Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime
Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts
Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts
Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts
Develop training material to train operators on how to efficiently operate equipment.
Identify critical spare parts for equipment’s and ensure availability of the parts to reduce breakdowns.
Investigate the Root cause of major breakdowns.
Identifying and reporting potential asset care problems during inspections.

Who We Are Looking For:

At lest Matric or equivalent/N3 with a Trade Test as a Millwright.
Language: Strong proficiency in English and the local language.
At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Millwright in a production or manufacturing environment.
Experience PLCs and AC drives is required. Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance skills in both mechanical and electrical areas are essential. Prepared to work overtime and do call-outs to meet production needs or address equipment failures.
