Mine Supervisor

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Mine Supervisor to be based on a Mine in Mpumalanga, Elukwatini.

POSITION INFO:
Experience: 3 to 5 years’ experience as a supervisor in the mining industry.
Skills & Knowledge: Knowledge of open cast mines and gold mining will be an added advantage. Must be able to manage teams successfully
Qualifications: Competency B certification is a must. Blasting will be an added advantage (we must have at least 1 or 2 supervisors with blasting certification)

Job Description

• Supervise the overall day to day, performance, co-ordination, management and maintenance of the designated mine/project to assist in obtaining maximum productivity, efficiency, quality, service and profitability for the organisation upholding all aspects of compliance and standards and adhering to budget and other applicable criteria
• supervise to ensure that the team are focused and deliver key priorities to include, but not limited to,  high quality provision, high standards of health and safety, good communication
• maintain excellent operations and standards
• supervise the storage, maintenance and use of plant and equipment on a theft/misuse preventative basis
• adhere to budget constraints and targets
• responsibility to assist your Line Manager
• assist in developing plans for progress and growth,
• meet your targets and those of the team as a whole
• contribute to the overall development and maintenance of all projects
• smooth running of the team
• contribute to training and development of the team
• supervise the performance of all duties in compliance with health and safety and all related legal/statutory regulations, professional duties, responsibilities, and obligations and insert as applicable
