Mining Shift Boss

SUMMARY:
We are recruiting for a Mining Shift Boss.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Grade 12 / N3 with Maths and Science (mandatory)
• Underground blasting certificate for Fiery Mines
• Academic or Tertiary qualification in mining industry
• Flameproof
• Gas Testing Certificate
• Competent A
• Computer Literacy (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

• Minimum 8 years work experience within the mining industry, specifically underground in coal mines.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Shift Boss (coal mining)
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in contract operations, site management / supervisor experience in a mining environment.
• 3 – 5 Experience Section Belts maintenance and Belt Extensions.

• Report Writing (Production and Safety)
• Inspections underground daily
• Orders of material
• Quotes for new projects.
