They are seeking an experienced and qualified Motorcycle Mechanic to join their team

POSITION INFO:
Candidate must have a solid background in motorcycle repair and maintenance, exceptional diagnostic skills, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.
This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and performing maintenance on various motorcycle models, including but not limited to KTM, BETA, CF Motors, quads, ATVs, side-by-sides and other off-road bikes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric or equivalent required.
- Trade qualification as a Motorcycle Mechanic or similar certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a motorcycle mechanic, with familiarity across different brands and models, including quads and ATVs.
- Strong understanding of motorcycle mechanics, diagnostics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Valid motorcycle driver’s license or at least motorcycle license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
Key Responsibilities :- Diagnostics and Repair o Perform accurate diagnostics on various motorcycle makes and models to identify mechanical, electrical, or performance-related issues.
- Conduct repairs efficiently, including engine work, transmission repairs, brake systems, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Maintenance and Servicing o Perform scheduled services on motorcycles according to manufacturer guidelines and dealership standards.
- Execute maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and tire changes.
- Custom Modifications and Upgrades o Advise customers on performance modifications, enhancements, and custom builds based on individual needs and preferences.
- Install aftermarket parts and accessories as requested by customers, ensuring functionality and safety.
- Testing and Quality Control o Conduct pre- and post-repair testing to verify that motorcycles are running smoothly and meet safety standards.
- Perform road tests to check the accuracy of repairs and quality of work completed.
- Workshop Maintenance
- Customer Interaction o Explain diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance recommendations to customers in a clear, approachable manner.
- Address customer questions and provide information about motorcycle care and upkeep.
- Record Keeping and Reporting Document repairs, parts used, and labour hours accurately for each job.
- Update maintenance logs and submit detailed reports as required by the dealership.
- Keep the workshop organized, clean, and safe in compliance with health and safety standards. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any maintenance needs to management
