Our client, a well-established Chartered Accountants firm based in Benoni, is seeking a highly motivated and recently qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) to join their dynamic team as a Junior Accountant. POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements

• Recently qualified CA(SA) with valid SAICA registration.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, and data analysis).
• Experience with CaseWare Working Papers.
• Advantageous: SAGE.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Taxation, and Auditing Standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Essential: Own vehicle and a valid Driver’s License.

• Conduct audit engagements from planning to completion under the supervision of senior management.
• Perform substantive testing, analytical procedures, and risk assessments for various clients.
• Assist in audit fieldwork, including financial statement reviews and internal control evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with audit methodologies, standards, and best practices.

• Compile and review annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SMEs.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and provide insights into financial performance.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Assist in preparing tax computations (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax) and liaising with SARS.

• Conduct stock counts and verify physical stock against accounting records.
• Analyse inventory variances and assist in identifying areas of improvement in stock management.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of stock transactions.

• Assist clients with financial queries, tax planning, and statutory compliance.
• Provide business advisory services, identifying potential risks and areas for financial improvement.
• Maintain professional and ethical client relationships while delivering high-quality service.
