A medium size private hospital in Durban has a vacancy for a Unit Manager of their Operating Theatre complex.

POSITION INFO:
Position Overview:
As the Unit Manager of the Operating Theatre, you will play a key role in the smooth operation of the theatre, ensuring a high standard of patient care and safety during surgical procedures. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team in a high-pressure environment. 

Requirements:

• Operating Theatre Diploma essential and registered with SANC
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Scrub Nurse in a multi-disciplinary hospital setting.
• Previous experience in a leadership or management role within a healthcare environment.
• Strong ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of operating theatre procedures, sterilisation, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and patients.
