Key Accountabilities and Outputs
Operations Chargehand
• PEPSI assurance testing & monitoring
• Complete Glass breakage inspection of plant
• Housekeeping inspections -Master Cleaning checklist
• Bottle conformance test
• Closure conformance test
• Help with non-conformances – re-test to determine nature of non-conformances
• Assist in supervising /verifying Blow moulding line QC testing and activities
• Assist with issue of cleaning chemicals and cleaning material to staff at clean up times to ensure that staffs do not waste time.
• Verify GHP checklist and report non conformers
• Assist with locker inspections
• Testing of previous night samples and checking if all in order
• Effluent samples
• Total alkalinity of water
• Assist with issuing PPE to staff
• Verification of CIP solution
• Assist with verifying can warmer treatment
• Tinto(Chlorine tester) meter calibration
• Cleaning equipment issue (brush ware, cleaning cloths, gloves etc.)to staff
• First aider – metal detector plaster issue form
• Issuing visitor coats, hairnets, ear plugs – ensure visitor/contractor health checklist filled in
• Checking pH of can warmer water between 6.8-7.8
• Assist with communication when training staff that do not understand English
• Assist when shortage of QC staff
• Ensure retention samples are properly arranged and manage expired stock
• Ensure the archive room is in proper condition and all documents are uniformed
• Assist with random spot checks on various issues.

• Adherence to Standards: Ensure strict adherence to Quality, Food, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.
• Enforcement: Enforce all food safety and health regulations, policies, and requirements at all times to guarantee a secure work environment.
• Personal Hygiene: Maintain exceptional personal hygiene as per the organization’s code of conduct.
• Contamination Control: Raise awareness about potential physical product contamination and implement control measures to prevent it.
• Health and Safety Measures: Take reasonable precautions to prevent health and safety hazards. Follow the prescribed incident reporting procedure in case of accidents.
• Knowledge and Compliance: Stay updated with relevant business information, policies, processes, and procedures. Enforce compliance with legislative and statutory requirements, as well as GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Training: Attend and enforce the implementation of learnings from training sessions related to Quality, Food Safety, and Health and Safety.
• Housekeeping: Maintain high levels of cleanliness and orderliness within the work environment.
General
• Responsible to ensure housekeeping is performed and ensure that all products and activities are stored and are executed within the demarcated areas according to the housekeeping policy (green red and yellow areas)
