Our client is looking for a Code 14 driver who wants to become an owner/driver operator
POSITION INFO:
Owner/Driver Operator
Area: Upington, Northern Cape
Purpose of the position: Our client is looking for a Code 14 driver who wants to become an owner/driver operator
Remuneration: The contract is split in two phases:
Phase 1 – Provided with a truck tractor for a period of 12 months where you can earn R16000 per month and save up enough to pay the deposit for the truck tractor required for phase 2
Phase 2 – Purchase own truck tractor and given a 7-year contract by a global FMCG employer. At the end of the 7-year contract the truck tractor belongs to owner driver
Duties:
Deliver products from depot to various clients
Work with crew to ensure that product is delivered on time
Work 5 days a week and occasionally on a Saturday
Requirements:
Must be credit and criminal clear
Must have valid and unendorsed EC (Code 14) Drivers Licence
Must have valid PDP
Must have valid tax clearance certificate
Must be medically and physically fit
Must have experience of a delivery truck driver
Must be able to work unsupervised
