An automation company based in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga is seeking a PLC Programmer/Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team.
POSITION INFO:
Requirements:
- N3 or Higher qualification in the Electrical/Electronic engineering field
- 3 or more years of PLC experience
- Advance level of PLC Programming
- Must be able to program in different PLC languages (Ladder, SCL, STL, FBD)
- Advance understanding of indirect addressing
- Advance Level of Hardware Configuration on PLC
- Advance Level of Safety Programming
- Programming and configuring of HMIâs or PVâs
- Interpretation of Electrical Diagrams
- Setup and Configurations of Drives
- Advance Level of configuring Industrial networks
- Trouble shooting and problem solving
- Ability to accurately follow instructions

- Phoenix - PLCNext Engineer
- Phoenix - Project Worx
- Unitronics - Unilogic
- Siemens - TIA Portal, WINCC Professional
- Rockwell - RS Logic, Factory Talk, RS Linx Classic ,BootP-DHCP Tool

- Line Support (Assisted on breakdowns and improvement online)
Responsibilities:
- Programming of control systems using some of the following - PLCNext Engineer (Phoenix), Project Worx, Unilogic, Adriot, TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, PanelView, iFix, WinCC, and IOT programming such as Node-Red is a requirement.
- System configuration, including PLC and SCADA configurations to meet project requirements
- Identifying any functionality changes to be made to core software or core PLC code
- Functional safety knowledge
- Familiar with Industrial Ethernet networking, particularly Profinet
- Production of project documentation including Functional Design Specifications, Project Specific Drawings, Design Risk Assessments & Test Procedures
