PRINCIPLE HPC DEVELOPER

Key Responsibilities

• Improving performance on Fortran/C++ on Intel Phi processors and MPI architecture based HPC systems
• Analysing and improving HPC processes
• Developing HPC process specifications and functional specifications
• Analysing, reviewing, and documenting the HPC requirements for changes to existing systems/processes or new developments
• Developing and designing appropriate solutions for the intended system/ process changes or developments.

Facilitating test analysis and preparing testing requirements, test plans, and expected results

Key Results Area

• Develops a thorough understanding of Intel Microprocessor architecture and how to optimize code on both a low and high level
• Intensive Fortran optimization projects
• Intensive C++ optimization

Formal Education

• Bachelor of Science (Information Technology) or equivalent

Professional/Technical Certification

C++ Programming (C++14 ISO Standard)

Experience & Skills: Minimum 5 years’ experience in the below:

• Experience in multi-threaded, distributed and parallel programming on high performance computing systems
• Expert knowledge in Intel Parallel studio
• Proven project architecture and development experience within the following fields or technology
• (a) Development of MPI Architecture
• (b) Use of Intel Phi processors to optimize and parallelize computational tasks of a scientific nature
