POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced PROCUREMENT MANAGER for a large concern, position based in Rietfontein, Pretoria.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Relevant Human Resources and/or labour qualification.

Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

English speaking (must be able to speak, read and write English competently).

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Sage Software is ADVANTAGEOUS! Advanced Excel ESSENTIAL!

5+yrs previous experience in procurement, preferably in the packaging industry on a senior level.

Supervise and guide buyers.

Lead the procurement team towards maximum performance and efficiency.

Manage stock levels of all Pretoria branches.

Negotiate with suppliers for better prices, settlement discounts and trade terms.

Monitor market trends, pricing and risks to enhance procurement decision-making.

Identify products that can set us ahead in a competitive market.

Ensure product variety at competitive prices for enhanced customer satisfaction.

Source reliable suppliers and quality products.

Facilitate interaction between the buyers and sales departments regarding stock enquiries.

Take responsibility for stock takes.

Liaise with Senior Management.
