SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading automotive supplier is looking for the ideal candidate to join their production planning team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

*Candidates who have experience in other industries will not be considered for the position*

Qualifications:

Grade 12 / equivalent

Experience and requirements:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a production planner in the steel industry
Of sober habits
Computer literate – advanced skilled on Excel and Syspro would be an advantage
Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
A stable work record and contactable references
Reside close to Alberton / Surrounding areas
Advanced knowledge on Excel spreadsheets and formulas would be an advantage

Duties and responsibilities:

Customer spec sheets
Mini project plans
Internal orders
Checking stock in system for forecast planning
Updating forecasts (in stock and planned to process)
Working out setups for sizes to be cut (coils, slitting and sheets)
Planning QCP’s
Capturing QCP’s
Daily follow-ups on jobs planned
Daily communication with internal sales and production team
