Our client in the Financial Services Industry based in Constantia, Western Cape currently looking to employ a Paraplanner. (12-Month Fixed-term Contract)
POSITION INFO:
Requirements:
- 4-5 years in the financial services industry.
- Relevant tertiary education or courses.
- Exposure to financial planning.
- Financial Services Industry.
- Understanding of FAIS and FICA legislation.
- Financial planning fundamentals and product knowledge.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint essential); SharePoint.
- XPlan; IWP and PGP (advantageous).
- High energy individual who is customer centric and relationship orientated
- Methodical, accurate and have meticulous attention to detail.
- Analytical and math’s skills to demonstrate the ability to work with numbers.
- Initiative-taking work ethic and able to multi-task.
- Organizational skills, ability to prioritize, plan and manage projects.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:Client Data Management:- Record client data in CRM (XPlan, etc.), ensuring completeness, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Produce clients’ comprehensive wealth position.
- Manage joint entities in CRM to enable a “single view of family.”
- Combine entities for joint planning and reporting on XPlan.
- Integrate data from CRM to company tools.
- Ensure completeness and correct data labeling in all applications.
- Update XPlan post-financial planning.
- Prepare data for client reviews.
- Verify client data integrity across advice tools and CRM.
Financial Planning Preparation and Client Reviews:- Complete training and pass competency assessments on financial planning tools.
- Ensure XPlan Wealth Maps are ready at least 7 days before client engagement.
- Prepare Personal Goal Plans (PGPs) and draft records of Advice for Partner finalization.
- Develop Integrated Wealth Plans (IWP) for scenario planning handover.
- Verify compliance and save final plans on XPlan.
- Integrate and refresh the latest client data into planning tools.
- Prepare client reviews as instructed and utilize tools when relevant.
- Gain confidence to attend client review meetings (assessed by Financial Planning Partner).
- Collaborate with Assistants, Product Providers, Wealth Account Managers, and Brokers.
- Attend compliance meetings and address remedial actions promptly.
Operational Support for Portfolio Managers and Client Relationship Managers:- Align with the Financial Planning Partner to ensure that the financial plan is integrated with the Private Client Share Portfolio’s mandate.
NAV (internal software), IT, Systems and KPIs:
- Maintain client records and tasks in XPlan for compliance and team alignment.
- Ensure proper record-keeping per business rules, legislation, and XPlan storage.
- Understand NAV data to support Financial Planning Partner(s).
- Align with the Partner on NAV data and practice attributes.
- Monitor KPI scores on NAV and seek guidance for improvement.
- Utilize reports to assist the Partner and identify client opportunities.
Client Management and Marketing Support:- Attend all client events with Financial Planning Partners (when required).
- Host and entertain clients at marketing events.
- Function as a primary point of contact for clients in the financial planning process.
