POSITION INFO:
Pastry Chef
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- The daily run and overseeing of all pastry and farm shop preparations
- Creating innovative à la carte desserts, pastries, and confectionary for all necessary departments
- Kitchen inventory and stock management
- Staff management
- Working closely with all chefs in the run of the kitchen
Applications are awaited from persons who comply with the following:
- Degree or diploma in culinary arts
- 4 years’ experience in a similar position
- 1 years’ experience in a senior role
- An extensive repertoire of pastry and confectionary techniques and trends
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Able to function as part of a team
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines
- Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays
- Own transport
