Job Description

Our client, an established Financial Services company based in the heart Cape Town, seeks a highly skilled Payments, Retention, and Collections Specialist to take on a leadership role in our organization. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in the payments, retention, and collections space, with a deep understanding of debt review processes, industry regulations, and call center operations. This position is key to maximizing client retention, ensuring timely payments, and improving overall collections outcomes across the group.

Requirements

Qualifications and skills:

Experience: 5-7 years of experience in payments, retention, and collections, with a strong background in debt review and call center operations.
NSC Matric Certificate
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of industry regulations, including the National Credit Act (NCA), debt review processes, and best practices in payments and collections.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using CRM systems, payment processing software, and collections technology.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage client relationships and lead a team.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making data-driven decisions to optimize payments, retention, and collections strategies.
Compliance Awareness: Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance standards within the payments, retention, and collections industries.
Team Building: Proven ability to build a cohesive, high-performing team that collaborates effectively and strives for continuous improvement.
