Job Summary:
The Personal VIP Protection Bodyguard is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of high-profile individuals (VIPs) through proactive protection, threat assessment, and risk mitigation. This role requires comprehensive knowledge and training in personal protection strategies, crisis management, and situational awareness. The bodyguard must possess a valid PSIRA qualification and CPOC (Close Protection Operative Course) certification. The bodyguard will demonstrate expertise in maintaining discretion, professionalism, and physical readiness.
Key Responsibilities:

Personal Security: Provide close protection services to VIP clients, including monitoring their surroundings, managing potential threats, and escorting them in public and private settings.

Risk and Threat Assessment: Continuously assess potential risks and threats to the client by conducting thorough security assessments and pre-visit checks of venues and routes.

Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies such as physical threats, medical incidents, or natural disasters by executing emergency response plans and ensuring the client's safety.

Secure Transportation: Coordinate safe and secure transportation for the client, including vehicle checks, route planning, and, if necessary, driving in evasive or high-risk conditions.

Confidentiality and Discretion: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the client’s personal life, business, and security measures. Handle sensitive situations with utmost discretion.

Communication: Liaise with other security personnel, law enforcement, and relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless security operations for the VIP. Provide regular updates to clients or supervisors on safety measures and plans.

First Aid and Medical Assistance: Provide first-aid assistance as needed, especially in high-risk environments or during emergencies.

Training and Physical Fitness: Maintain peak physical condition, practice defensive tactics, and keep up to date with the latest personal protection techniques. Attend regular security training and refresher courses.
Qualifications and Experience:

PSIRA Qualification: Must hold a valid and up-to-date PSIRA registration

CPOC Qualification: Completion of a Close Protection Operative Course (CPOC) from a recognized institution.

Advanced Close Protection Training: Certification in close protection or executive protection training from a recognized institution, in addition to the CPOC.

First Aid and Trauma Response Certification: Must be trained in basic or advanced first-aid (preferably trauma response).

Firearms Competency: Proficient in the safe handling and operation of firearms. Firearm competency certifications (if required by the client).

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in VIP or executive protection, law enforcement, or military background is preferable.

Additional Requirements:

Clean Criminal Record: Must have a clean criminal record as per PSIRA standards.

Willingness to Travel: Must be flexible and willing to travel both domestically and internationally at short notice.

Valid Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license with no major infractions.
Working Conditions:

The role may involve long, irregular hours and may require working nights, weekends, and holidays depending on the client’s schedule.

Travel: This role requires frequent travel, often on short notice, and the candidate must be prepared for both local and international assignments.

High-Pressure Situations: The bodyguard must be able to manage stressful situations with confidence and efficiency, prioritizing the safety of the VIP at all times.
