SUMMARY:

An Agricultural Research and Development company is seeking a half day Office Administrator to support the business and act as PA to the Director at their offices in Pretoria.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a Matric or equivalent qualification
Excellent administration skills and office management experience are important
Must have advanced Computer Literacy
Good communication skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, will be required
Must have a valid driver’s license and own transport

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Arranging necessary travel arrangements i.e. accommodation, flights and car hire.
Attending and taking minutes at management meetings when necessary.
Travelling from time to time during external farmer’s meetings.
Providing necessary administration support to the rest of the team.
Managing reception and communication with customers.
Purchasing meals and refreshments for meetings and business events.
Monitoring office supplies and ordering stationery and cleaning consumables.
Organising dispatch and receipt of parcels through courier services.
Acting as a supervisor to the cleaning personnel.
Ensuring proper filing for all documents.

Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience
