SUMMARY:
Meondo Holdings is seeking an experienced and certified Pest Controller to join their team in Durban. Must be able to start ASAP.
POSITION INFO:
Duties:
Pre-Treatment Duties:
1. Inspect premises to identify pest infestations and determine the extent of the problem.
2. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential health and safety hazards.
3. Develop and recommend treatment plans to customers.
4. Provide advice on pest prevention and control measures.
Treatment Duties:
1. Apply pesticides, baits, and other control measures to eliminate pests.
2. Use specialized equipment, such as sprayers, foggers, and traps.
3. Treat affected areas, including buildings, gardens, and other outdoor spaces.
4. Seal entry points and remove food sources to prevent re-infestation.
Post-Treatment Duties:
1. Monitor treated areas to ensure effectiveness of treatment.
2. Conduct follow-up inspections to detect any re-infestation.
3. Provide guidance on pest prevention and control measures.
4. Maintain accurate records of treatments, including dates, times, and products used.
Administrative Duties:
1. Maintain equipment, vehicles, and other company assets.
2. Manage inventory of pesticides, baits, and other control measures.
3. Prepare and submit reports, invoices, and other documentation.
4. Communicate with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Safety and Health Duties:
1. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent exposure to pesticides and other hazards.
2. Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks.
3. Report any incidents, accidents, or near-misses to management.
4. Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
Requirements:
1. Matric
2. Pest Control Certificate
3. At least 2 years relevant experience
4. Must reside in Durban
5. Must be willing to travel to sites
