POSITION INFO:

We are seeking an experienced Piping Supervisor to oversee all piping-related operations within our mining facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing installation, maintenance, and repair of various piping systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Key Requirement:

• Supervise and coordinate piping installation, modification, and maintenance activities
• Manage and mentor a team of pipefitters, welders, and other technical staff
• Review and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and isometric drawings
• Ensure compliance with mining safety regulations and company standards
• Coordinate with other departments to plan and execute maintenance schedules
• Monitor project progress and maintain detailed documentation
• Conduct regular inspections of piping systems and equipment
• Implement preventive maintenance programs
• Manage inventory of piping materials and equipment
• Respond to emergency situations and troubleshoot piping-related issues

• Minimum 5 years'' experience as a Piping Supervisor in mining or heavy industrial environment
• Valid engineering trade qualification or equivalent technical certification
• In-depth knowledge of mining piping systems, including process, water, and air piping
• Strong understanding of mining safety regulations and SANS standards
• Experience with pressure testing and quality control procedures
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Valid driver''s license
