JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Policy Administrator - Medical Insurance

Must be fluent in Portuguese. (Speak, read, and write)

The Policy administrator will be responsible for all functional areas and processes relating to membership,

The purpose of this role is to process day to day administrative support to the admin Manager, and to maintain operational efficiency and adherence to the agreed upon service level agreements, In line with Clients standing goal to constantly improve internal processes, protocols and practices, there will be an expectation on the successful Candidate to not only master the existing processes, protocols, and practices, but constantly look for improvements and introduce these into practice. Preferred Skills, Experience 

Speak, read, and write Portuguese 

Experience in health insurance membership admin and claims processing. 

Experience within healthcare administration and service provision within local or international private medical insurance 

A high degree of attention to detail ensuring that existing and new policies are maintained accurately and in accordance with the prescribed product requirements.

A “can do” attitude and critical thinking will stand the successful candidate in good stead. 

knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages and in particular, Microsoft Excel and Word.

Analytical and logical thinking. Job Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidates’ duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Process of all day-to-day activities within the membership and claims processing environments.

General policy administration that includes, but is not limited to new client enrolment, additions, deletions.

Membership movement. 

Process development and improvement: 

Constantly streamlining and improving processes, protocols and practices within the membership and claims processing environment. Location and working hours The successful incumbent will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Formal working hours apply from Monday to Fridays, 08:00 to 17:30, the incumbent may be required to work afterhours from time to time to ensure that all membership processes run smoothly and in accordance with the company’s minimum requirements
