This boutique hotel is surrounded by expansive gardens, ancient trees, and flowing waterfalls, providing an oasis of calm. Camps Bay Retreat is currently seeking a Porter to join our dynamic team, offering you the opportunity to be an integral part of our commitment to hospitality excellence. As the Porter, you won't just be a greeter; you'll be the warm introduction to the exceptional experience we provide. Your role will be crucial in setting the tone for our guests' stay, ensuring a seamless and positive arrival experience. We believe in creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment guests arrive, and as the Porter, you will embody this philosophy by offering assistance, providing information, and maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour. What is Required?
Welcome guests in a friendly and assisting manner well following designated tasks and procedures. Monitor the security perimeters of properties, be aware of all security risks within the allocated areas and provide assistance with cleanliness of allocated areas. Perform duties that have being allocated to them by the specific properties.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- PRISA Qualification (Advantageous)
- Driver’s license
- Strong verbal communication to greet and assist visitors professionally.
- Ability to provide a positive and helpful experience for guests.
- Neat and professional appearance, maintaining a welcoming demeanour.
- Punctuality and consistent presence during designated hours.
- Understanding of basic security procedures and vigilance for any suspicious activities.
- Capability to handle minor issues, such as providing directions or addressing visitor concerns.
- Efficiently manage multiple tasks, such as monitoring entrances and assisting visitors.
- Familiarity with basic computer operations, especially if using electronic systems.
- Willingness to undergo any required training in customer service, emergency procedures, or company policies.
- Compliance with any legal or regulatory requirements, such as background checks, applicable to the role.
- Occasional driving duties.
