Private Chef - live and work between Mauritius and JHB

This exciting position is for an experienced Private Chef who is free and flexible to travel between Mauritius and Johannesburg.

Our client works between JHB, South Africa and Mauritius and is looking for a Private Chef. The position will be based 2 - 3 months in Mauritius and 2 - 3 months in Bryanston, JHB. These times may vary due to covid lockdowns etc.

Character:

A positive, helpful, happy nature - ie. Service oriented

Probably most suitable for a single person with no dependents

Good health

Good personality

Experience required:

Designing menu’s, sourcing, shopping, preparing, table serving, cleaning up.

Knowledge of food / wine / beverage pairing

Menu planning – Designing healthy fresh seasonal food for breakfasts, lunches, dinners and private functions.

Sourcing & shopping for fresh local ingredients

Preparing of breakfasts, lunches and dinners

Creating special menus and decor for functions / entertaining guests

Cleaning up after a meal / function (willing to pack dish washer etc)

Must have a valid passport / able to travel

Included in the package:

Accommodation when in Mauritius

Transport / fuel / money for groceries / ingredients

Flights to and from Mauritius 

Salary - Market related
